Upper Timing Cover

  1. Install a new gasket (1) onto upper timing cover.

  2. Install the upper timing cover (3). Tighten bolts (2), nuts (1) to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).

  3. Install the pressurized coolant bottle mounting bracket (2). Tighten bolt (1) to 25 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).

  4. Install the pressurized coolant bottle mounting bracket nut onto shock tower and tighten to 25 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).

  5. Install the pressurized coolant bottle mounting bracket bolt (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).
  6. Install pressurized coolant bottle. Refer to BOTTLE, PRESSURIZED COOLANT, INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the camshaft position sensor. Refer to SENSOR, CAMSHAFT POSITION, INSTALLATION .
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
