Section 249 (Charging (Service Information)): Description

The charging system consists of:
- Generator
- Electronic Voltage Regulator (EVR) circuitry within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
- Ignition switch (Refer to IGNITION SYSTEM (SERVICE INFORMATION) for information)
- Battery (Refer to BATTERY (SERVICE INFORMATION) for information)
- Inlet Air Temperature (calculated battery temperature) (If equipped)
- Voltmeter (Refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (SERVICE INFORMATION) for information if equipped)
- Wiring harness and connections.
- Accessory drive belt (Refer to ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM for more information)
