Radiator, Engine Cooling: Removal: 3.2L

  1. Remove the engine cover.
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  3. Drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  4. Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the radiator.
  5. Remove the hood latch. Refer to LATCH, HOOD, REMOVAL .

  6. Separate the side air deflectors (2) from the upper radiator closeout panel (1).

  7. Disconnect the cooling fan wire harness connector (4).
  8. Disconnect the ambient air temperature sensor wire harness connector (5).
  9. Disconnect the horn wire harness connectors (6).
  10. Remove the hood release cable (3) from the air deflector.
  11. Remove the wiring harness (7) from the air deflector.
  12. Remove the fasteners and the upper radiator close out panel (1).

  13. Disconnect the A/C pressure switch wire harness connector.
  14. Remove the A/C fill port support bracket (2) and position aside.

  15. Remove the transmission cooler line support brace bolt (1).

  16. Separate the condenser from the radiator (1).

  17. Remove the upper radiator hose from the upper coolant cross over pipe.
  18. Remove the upper radiator mounts (1).

  19. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the cooling fan module (2).
  20. Remove the radiator and fan assembly from the vehicle.

  21. If necessary, remove the upper radiator hose (2) from the radiator.
  22. If necessary, remove the fasteners (1) and separate radiator fan assembly from the radiator.
