Battery System (Service Information): Battery: Removal

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable by removing only the captive nut (1) securing the terminal end to the post.
2. Disconnect the battery positive side cable.
3. Remove the thermal cover by lifting upwards.

4. Remove the clamp (4) that secures the battery to the battery tray.
5. Remove the battery (2) from the vehicle.
