Removal And Installation: 1.4L: Installation

Thoroughly clean the engine block core hole and engine block heater seat.
Insert the heater assembly (3) into the engine block.
With engine block heater (3) fully seated, tighten the screw (2) to 3 N.m (27 in. lbs.).
Connect the power cord (4) to the engine block heater (3).

If removed, install the power cord bracket (2) to the right strut tower. Tighten the bolt (1) to 8 N.m (71 in. lbs.).

NOTE:
Verify that the installed power cord bracket bolt (1) does not come in contact with the right front shock absorber spring (2).
Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Remove the vehicle from the lift.
