2.0L Diesel: Installation

- Install a NEW gasket seal on the water pump by folding the retaining tabs (1).
- Install the water pump (1a). Tighten the bolts (1b) to the proper specification. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the timing belt. .
- Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Evacuate the air and fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
- Check cooling system for leaks. Refer to LEAK TESTING .
