3.0L Diesel

CAUTION:

The Thermostat and housing is serviced as an assembly. Do not remove the thermostat from the housing, damage to the thermostat may occur.

NOTE:

If thermostat is being replaced, be sure that replacement is specified thermostat for vehicle model and engine type.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the engine cover (1).
  3. Drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  4. Remove the coolant hose (1) from the thermostat housing and position aside.

  5. Remove the bolts (1) and the thermostat housing (2) assembly.
