Removal And Installation: Installation

Position the steering column in the vehicle. Install the four steering column to dash frame bolts, and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .

Install and tighten the screws (1b), and the nut (1c) for the airbag support frame.
Install the Data Link Connector (DLC) into the dash frame.

Install the intermediate shaft (1b) to the steering gear. Tighten the intermediate shaft pinch bolt (1a) to the proper specification. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
Install the driver knee airbag. Refer to AIR BAG, KNEE BLOCKER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Install the sentry key antenna. Refer to ANTENNA, SENTRY KEY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Install the clockspring. Refer to CLOCKSPRING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Install the steering wheel. Refer to WHEEL, STEERING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Connect the negative battery cable.
