Shifter, Floor Console: Installation: Installation

NOTE:

Left side shown in illustration, right side similar.

Place the gear shifter in position on the floor pan.
Install the bolts (1) to hold the gear shifter assembly to the floor pan.

Push the gear shift cable end (2) onto the pin under the shifter assembly (3).

Install the Brake Ignition Transmission Shifter Interlock (BITSI) cable (2) to the shifter housing (1).
Push the BITSI cable end (3) onto pin on the shifter assembly.

Connect the gear shifter lever position sensor wire harness connector.
Install the floor console. Refer to CONSOLE, FLOOR, INSTALLATION .
Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
