Pump, Water: Installation: Diesel

  1. Position the water pump (3) with a new gasket (2) onto the cylinder head (1). Tighten the bolts (4) to the proper SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install the timing belt.
  3. Evacuate air and refill cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
  5. Check cooling system for leaks. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
