Sensor, Differential Pressure: Installation: Diesel

  1. If removed, install Differential Pressure Sensor tubing (6) into diesel particulate filter (4). Tighten fittings to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.).
  2. If necessary, install the mounting bolts (4) securing the differential pressure sensor tubing to transmission and securely tighten.

  3. Connect the differential pressure sensor hoses (1).

  4. Install the differential pressure sensor and bracket assembly (5). Tighten bolt (1) to 18 N.m (159 in. lbs.).
    NOTE:

    Before installing, inspect both pressure hoses and make sure there is not any dip across the hoses. In cases where water is frozen, a dip across the hoses can cause condensation which can set a MIL.

  5. Connect the differential pressure sensor harness connector (2).
  6. Attach the exhaust temperature sensors wire harness connectors (4, 6) and wire harness retainer (1) to bracket (5).
  7. Install the transmission skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, TRANSMISSION, INSTALLATION .
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
