Section 331 (Rear Driveline Module - MK): Removal

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING .
Remove the rear tires. Refer to REMOVAL .
Remove the drain plug (1) and drain the fluid from the rear driveline module.
Remove the rear propeller shaft. Refer to REMOVAL .

Remove right side sway bar nut (1) (if equipped).

Remove left side sway bar nut (1) (if equipped).

Roll sway bar (2) (if equipped) down and out of the way.

Remove the left side stay bracket bolts (1).

Remove the right side stay bracket bolts (1).
Remove the exhaust system up to the catalytic converter. Refer to MUFFLER, EXHAUST, REMOVAL .
Support the rear driveline module with a transmission jack.

Remove the rear bolt (1) at the driveline module.

Remove the two side bolts (1) at driveline module (3).

Lower driveline module enough to gain access to the electrical connector and bracket.
Remove the routing bracket bolt.
Unplug the electrical connector (1).
Remove breather hose off of Electronically Controlled Clutch (ECC).

Lower the driveline module (1).
Disengage both halfshafts.
Remove driveline module.
Remove the ECC bolts.
Separate the ECC from the Rear Drive Assembly (RDA).
