Section 134 (Steering System): Pump: Installation: 2.8L-Diesel

- Install the pump (1) to the vehicle.
- Install the three bolts securing the pump (1) to the engine through the access holes (3) and tighten to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
- Install the pressure power steering hoses (2). Tighten to 31 N.m (23 ft. lbs.).
- Reclamp the supply hose (4) to the pump (1).
- Install the serpentine belt (3). Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .
- Install the air inlet tube.
- Install the air cleaner housing.
- Refill the power steering fluid and bleed the system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
