Throttle Body: Removal: 3.2L

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable (3).

  2. Lift the engine cover retaining grommets off the ball studs and remove the engine cover (1).

  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor.
  4. Loosen the clamp at the throttle body (3).
  5. Loosen the clamp at the air cleaner housing.
  6. Lift the air inlet resonator assembly (6) off the ball stud.
    CAUTION:

    Never have the ignition key in the ON position when checking the throttle body shaft for a binding condition. This may set DTC's.

  7. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) (2) and unfasten the ETC harness from the clip (4) on the throttle body.
  8. Remove four throttle body mounting bolts (3).
  9. Remove the throttle body from the upper intake manifold.
  10. Check the condition of the throttle body-to-intake manifold seal. The seal can be reused if not damaged.
