Set Condition
Temperature Jump Detection:
The TCM detects that there has been a transmission fluid temperature change greater than 10°C (50°F) in less than 1 second.
Comparison to a Temperature Model:
The failure is detected if the absolute value of the difference between the oil temperature sensor signal measured by the TCM and the calculated oil temperature is greater than a calibrated threshold for a calibrated amount of time.
Low Temperature Detection:
The failure is detected if the oil temperature sensor signal is less than a calibrated threshold after having first reached another higher calibrated threshold in the same driving cycle.
Stuck in Low Temperature Detection:
The failure is detected if the absolute value of the difference between the current transmission oil temperature and a previous oil temperature stored a calibrated time before is less than a calibrated threshold.
