2.0L Diesel

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover (1).
  3. Remove the battery tray. Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, REMOVAL .

  4. Remove fasteners (2, 3, 4) and the upper close out panel cover (1).
  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  6. Remove the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  7. Drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  8. Remove the A/C condenser. Refer to CONDENSER, A/C, REMOVAL .
  9. Remove the Charge Air Cooler (CAC).

  10. Disconnect the cooling fan module (2) wire harness connector (1).
  11. Disconnect the horn wire harness connector.
  12. Remove the hood release cable from the air deflector.

  13. Disconnect the ambient air temperature sensor wire harness connector (2).
  14. Remove the left side radiator air deflector.
  15. Remove the right side radiator air deflector.
  16. Remove the washer reservoir. Refer to RESERVOIR, WINDSHIELD WASHER, REMOVAL .

  17. release clip (2) and remove the lower radiator hose (3).

  18. Remove the upper radiator hose (1).
  19. Remove pushpin retainers securing wire harness and position aside wire harness.
  20. Remove the isolators screws from the upper core support from the left and right mounting locators.
    NOTE:

    The radiator and cooling fan should be removed from the top by slightly rotating the components down on the right while tilting the component rearward. The left end of the component should lead out of the vehicle.

  21. Remove the radiator from the vehicle.
  22. Remove bolts the cooling fan assembly from radiator.
