2.0L Diesel

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
NOTE:
Drain the fluid in a clean container, free of debris. Save the fluid for re-use.
Drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Remove the timing belt.

Remove the water pump mounting bolts (2).
Separate the water pump (1) and the gasket from the cylinder head.
