Wheel, Steering: Removal: Removal

  1. Disable and remove the drivers side airbag. Refer to AIR BAG, DRIVER, REMOVAL .
  2. Partially remove the steering wheel bolt and leave the bolt in the column.

  3. Install puller special tool (special tool #L-4407A, Puller, Gear) puller (2) with OTC® 7929A jaws (1) or equivalent using the top of the bolt (3) to push on.
    NOTE:

    Ensure the puller jaws (1) are seated in the pockets of the steering wheel armature.

  4. Remove the steering wheel.
