Steering System: Pump: Removal: 6.4L

  1. Remove the serpentine drive belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector (2).
  3. Loosen the clamps (1) and remove the air inlet (3) for access.

  4. Siphon power steering reservoir (1).
  5. Disconnect the return line (2) from the integrated reservoir.
  6. Disconnect the pressure line (3) from the power steering pump.

  7. Using the holes in the pulley (2) for access, remove the three pump mounting bolts (1) and remove the pump from the vehicle.
  8. Remove and transfer any necessary components.
