NOTE:

Thermostat housing with an engine oil cooler similar.

1. Position the thermostat and housing (2) on the front cover.
2. Install thermostat housing bolts (1). Tighten the bolts (1) to 13 N.m (115 in. lbs.).
3. Install the radiator hose onto the thermostat housing (2).
4. Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
5. Connect negative battery cable.
6. Install the air intake system. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION or BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION, 5.7L or BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
7. Start and warm the engine. Check for leaks. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
