Seal, Pinion: Installation

- Using (special tool #9677, Installer, Seal) (1), install a NEW
pinion flange seal.
- Using Installer (special tool #L-4507, Installer, Bearing) (1), lightly tap
pinion flange (2) onto the shaft, just enough to start the flange nut by hand.
- Install Spanner Wrench (2) to pinion flange.
- Install the pinion flange nut and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the driveshaft and heat shield. Refer to INSTALLATION .
