Camera, Rear: Removal: Camera

NOTE:

The Rear View Camera (RVC) is secured by screws to the back of the camera bezel and may be serviced without disturbing the bezel. The camera bezel is secured to the outer surface of the deck lid by an adhesive membrane and must be replaced with a new bezel and adhesive membrane unit if damaged or removed from the deck lid.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative cable from the battery. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector before disconnecting the negative cable from the battery.
  2. Remove the trim from the deck lid inner panel.
  3. Disconnect the body wire harness take out from the Rear View Camera (RVC) (2) connector receptacle.
  4. Reach through the access hole in the deck lid inner panel to access and remove the retention clip bracket (1) that secures the body of the RVC to the inside of the deck lid (3).
  5. Remove the two screws that secure the RVC mounting tabs to the bezel.
  6. Remove the RVC.
