Module, Anti-Lock Brake System: Installation: Installation

Clean any debris off the mating surfaces of the HCU and ABS module.
NOTE:
When installing a new ABS module seal, do not use any type of lubricant.

If the seal (1) on the ABS module (2) are not new, replace them. The ABS module seal must be new to keep out moisture and debris; do not reuse the ABS module seal .

Align components and install the ABS module (1) on the HCU (2).

Install the three ABS module to HCU mounting screws (3). Tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Install the two ICU to bracket bolts and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Install the ICU in the vehicle. Refer to INTEGRATED CONTROL UNIT (ICU), INSTALLATION .
