Section 383 (Propeller Shaft): Removal: Front

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

Remove drive shaft heat shield (1).

Apply alignment index marks on the drive shaft and front and rear flanges.
Remove and discard the four front drive shaft to axle flange bolts (2).
Remove and discard four front drive shaft to transfer case flange bolts (2).
Remove propeller shaft assembly (1).
