Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, read Memory Seat Module-Driver (MSMD) DTCs and record on the repair order.
    3. With the scan tool, erase MSMD DTCs.
    4. Turn the ignition off.
    5. Turn the ignition on.
    6. Wait a minimum of 50 seconds and with the scan tool, read MSMD DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

  2. CHECK THE ADJUSTABLE PEDALS SWITCH 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Adjustable Pedals Switch harness connector.
    3. Turn the ignition on.
    4. Wait a minimum of 50 seconds and with the scan tool, read MSMD DTCs.

      Is the DTC active?

      Yes 

      • Go To  3

      No 

      • Replace the Adjustable Pedals Switch in accordance with the Service Information.
      • Perform the APS VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  3. CHECK THE (Q102) ADJUSTABLE PEDALS SWITCH FORWARD CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Memory Seat Module C6 harness connector.
    3. Check for continuity between ground and the (Q102) Adjustable Pedals Switch Forward circuit at the Memory Seat Module C6 harness connector.

      Is there continuity between ground and the (Q102) Adjustable Pedals Switch Forward circuit?

      Yes 

      • Repair the (Q102) Adjustable Pedals Switch Forward circuit for a short to ground.
      • Perform the APS VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .

      No 

      • Go To  4
  4. CHECK THE (Q102) ADJUSTABLE PEDALS SWITCH FORWARD CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (Q101) ADJUSTABLE PEDALS GROUND CIRCUIT 
    1. Check for continuity between the (Q103) Adjustable Pedals Switch Rearward circuit and (Q101) Adjustable Pedals Switch Ground circuit at the Memory Seat Module C6 harness connector.

      Is there continuity between the (Q103) Adjustable Pedals Switch Rearward circuit and (Q101) Adjustable Pedals Switch Ground circuit?

      Yes 

      • Repair the (Q103) Adjustable Pedals Switch Rearward circuit for a short to the (Q101) Adjustable Pedals Switch Ground circuit.
      • Perform the APS VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .

      No
