Cable, Shift Interlock: Adjustments: Adjustment

  1. Remove center console Refer to CONSOLE, FLOOR, REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the shifter housing. Refer to HOUSING, SHIFTER, REMOVAL .
    NOTE:

    Adjust interlock cable/system as follows:

  3. Remove the key from the ignition.
  4. If the cable is not being replaced follow steps 4-7. If the cable is being replaced skip to step 8.
  5. Remove the housing from the shifter assembly.
  6. Pry up on cable adjustment lock (1).
  7. Pin the adjuster using a 1mm hex wrench or equivalent (2).
  8. Install the cable housing to the shifter assembly.
  9. Remove the pin (2) and allow the cable to self adjust. Lock cable adjustment by pressing down on the adjuster lock (1) until bottomed at the cable housing.
  10. Install the shifter housing. Refer to HOUSING, SHIFTER, INSTALLATION .
  11. Install center console Refer to CONSOLE, FLOOR, INSTALLATION .
