Diagnostic Test

- VERIFY PCM DTCs
- Using the scan tool, record and erase all codes in the PCM.
- Turn the Ignition Off, and wait fifteen seconds before turning the Ignition On.
- Wait one minute, and read the active PCM codes.
Does the scan tool display any starting, ignition or charging DTCs?
Yes
- Refer to 3.6L - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX or 5.7L - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX or 6.4L - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure(s).
No
- Go To 2.
- VERIFY PCM PROGRAMMING
- Using the scan tool, erase all codes in the RF Hub module.
- Turn the Ignition Off, and wait fifteen seconds before turning the Ignition On.
- Wait one minute, and read the active RF Hub DTCs.
Does the scan tool display; U1197-00-SECURITY SEED RESPONSE NOT RECEIVED FROM ECM/PCM?
Yes
- Program the Powertrain Control Module in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to 3.6L - POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST or 5.7L - POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST or 6.4L - POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and poor pin fit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
