Steering System: Pump: Installation: 3.8L

1. Install pulley (1) on pump (if removed). Refer to PULLEY, POWER STEERING PUMP, INSTALLATION .
2. Install pump on the engine.
3. Install 3 pump mounting bolts (2) and tighten to 26 N.m (19 ft. lbs.).

4. Install the pressure line on the pump and tighten to 31 N.m (23 ft. lbs.).
5. Install supply hose on pump.
6. Install drive belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .
7. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
8. Check for leaks.
9. Install the air box assembly. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
