Steering System: Pump: Removal: 3.8L

  1. Remove cap from power steering fluid reservoir.
  2. Siphon as much fluid as possible from the power steering fluid reservoir.
  3. Remove the air box assembly. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the pressure hose at the pump.
  5. Remove the supply hose from the pump.

  6. Remove the drive belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .
  7. Remove the three front mounting bolts through the pulley (2).
  8. Remove the pump (with pulley).
  9. If the pulley (1) needs removal. Refer to PULLEY, POWER STEERING PUMP, REMOVAL .
