1. Position the exhaust pipe (2) into the vehicle.
2. Insert the exhaust pipe hanger into the transmission support.
3. Install the exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter flange retaining nuts (1). Do not tighten nuts.
4. Install the exhaust pipe to the muffler mounting bolts. Do not tighten bolts.
5. Make sure the exhaust pipe/exhaust system is aligned and has the proper clearance. The minimum clearance is 25mm (1 inch). Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.
6. Tighten the exhaust pipe to catalytic converter flange retaining nuts (1) to 27 N.m (19 ft. lbs.).
7. Tighten the exhaust pipe to muffler mounting bolts to 31 N.m (23 ft. lbs.).
8. Install the oxygen sensors in the exhaust pipe and catalytic converter and connect oxygen sensor connectors.
9. Lower the vehicle.
10. Start the engine and inspect for leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
11. Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.
