Section 6 (Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) (Service Information)): Installation: Installation
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE:
Refer to the following table when the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and/or transaxle has been replaced to determine if the TCM memory must be erased.
| TCM | Transaxle | Erase Memory? |
|---|---|---|
| New Module | Not Replaced | Not Required |
| Not Replaced | Replaced | Relearn Required Refer to MODULE, Transmission Control, Standard Procedure . |
| Replaced With Used Module | N/A |
NOTE:
When CVT transaxle is replaced, an initialization sequence must be performed between the Valve Body Module and the TCM. If the initialization sequence is not performed, transaxle may default into "limp in" mode. Ensure the scan tool you are using has the capabilities and software to perform the initialization sequence.
