Install the generator (1).

Rotate generator and set in place.

Make sure battery terminal (1) is in front of A/C line (2).

Install the upper mounting bolt.
Tighten bolts to GAS 54 N.m (40 ft. lbs.) DIESEL 26 N.m (19 ft. lbs.).

Install the B+ terminal nut and wire and.
Tighten to 10 N.m (88.5 in. lbs.)

Plug in the field circuit to the generator.

Install the lower mounting bolt.
Tighten bolts to GAS 54 N.m (40 ft. lbs.) DIESEL 26 N.m (19 ft. lbs.).

Install the A/C compressor. Refer to COMPRESSOR, A/C, Installation .

Install the accessory drive idler pulley.
Tighten bolt to 48 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
Position back the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, Serpentine, Installation .
Install the accessory drive splash shield.

Install underbody air dam.
Install the right front wheel.
Recharge the A/C system. Refer to Plumbing, Standard Procedure .
Connect the negative battery cable.

Install the air cleaner fresh air duct (2) and rotate the two retaining clips (3) to install.
