SENSOR, Camshaft Position, 2.8L Diesel: Removal: Diesel

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

  2. The Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) (3) is located at the front/top of the cylinder head.

  3. Remove electrical connector from CMP sensor (3).
  4. Clean area at base of sensor.
  5. Remove sensor mounting bolt (1) and washer (2).
  6. Pull sensor (3) straight up for removal.
