Power Steering System: Pump: Installation: 3.8L

1. Install pulley (1) on pump (if removed). See Steering/Pump/PULLEY, Power Steering Pump - Installation .
2. Install pump on the engine.
3. Install 3 pump mounting bolts (2) and tighten to 26 N.m (19 ft. lbs.).

4. Install the pressure line on the pump and tighten to 31 N.m (23 ft. lbs.).
5. Install supply hose on pump.
6. Install drive belt. Refer to Cooling/Accessory Drive/BELT, Serpentine - Installation .
7. Fill and bleed the power steering system. See Steering - Standard Procedure .
8. Check for leaks.
9. Install the air box assembly. Refer to Engine/Air Intake System/BODY, Air Cleaner - Installation .
