Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR WIN COMMUNICATION AND DTCS
1. Ignition on, engine not running.
2. With the scan tool, check for proper communication and active DTCs in the WIN.
  Are any WIN communication problems or DTCs present?
  
  Yes
  - Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/NODE, Wireless Ignition (WIN) - Diagnosis and Testing and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
  No
  - Go to step 2
CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, clear all ECM DTCs.
3. Turn the ignition on and off several times pausing 10 seconds between key cycles.
4. With the scan tool, select View DTCs in the ECM.
  Is the status Active for this DTC?
  
  Yes
  - Go to 3
  No
  - Perform the INTERMITTENT DTC diagnostic procedure. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Engine Control (ECM) - Standard Procedure .
REPLACE THE WIN AND RETEST
1. Replace and program the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) in accordance with the Service Information.
2. Turn the ignition on.
3. With the scan tool, clear all ECM DTCs.
4. Turn the ignition on and off several times pausing 10 seconds between key cycles.
5. With the scan tool, select View DTCs in the ECM.
  Is the status Active for this DTC?
  
  Yes
  - Replace and program the Engine Control Module in accordance the Service Information.
  - Perform the ECM Verification Test. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Engine Control (ECM) - Standard Procedure .
  No
  - Test complete.
