3.0L Diesel

  1. Install the pump (1) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the pump mounting bracket bolts. Tighten to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
  3. Reconnect the supply hose at the pump.
  4. Install the pressure line at the pump. Tighten the nut to 47 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
  5. Install the drive belt. Refer to Cooling/Accessory Drive/BELT, Serpentine - Installation .
  6. Install the inner cooler muffler mounting bolts.
  7. Install the battery tray. Refer to Electrical/Battery System/TRAY, Battery - Installation .
  8. Install the battery. Refer to Electrical/Battery System/BATTERY - Installation .
  9. Install the engine top cover.
  10. Fill the power steering system. See Standard Procedure  .
  11. Bleed the hydraulic fan system using a scan tool. See Standard Procedure  .
