Diagnostic Test

  1. INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the Scan Tool, clear all FCM DTC's.
    3. Turn the Front Wipers on.
    4. With the Scan Tool, read the Front Wiper DTC's.

      Does the Scan Tool read: B2305-WIPER PARK SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT HIGH?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. (W7) FRONT WIPER PARK SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Front Wiper Motor harness connector.
    3. Disconnect the IPM C1 harness connector.
    4. Measure the voltage on the (W7) Front Wiper Park Switch Sense circuit.

      Is the voltage above 5.0 volts?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go to step  3
  3. CHECK THE FRONT WIPER MOTOR 
    1. Connect a jumper wire between the (W7) Wiper Park Switch Sense circuit and ground.
    2. With the Scan Tool, read the Front Wiper Park Switch Sense.

      Does the Front Wiper Park Switch Sense display: True?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go to step  4
  4. (W7) FRONT WIPER PARK SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT OPEN 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the IPM C1 harness connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the (W7) Front Wiper Park Switch Sense circuit between the Front Wiper Motor harness connector and the IPM C1 harness connector.

      Is the resistance below 10.0 ohms?

      Yes 

      No
