5.7L Engine

1 - GENERATOR
2 - A/C COMPRESSOR
3 - WATER PUMP
4 - HEATER BYPASS TUBE
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Drain coolant. See Cooling - Standard Procedure 
  3. Remove serpentine belt. See Cooling/Accessory Drive/BELT, Serpentine - Removal 
  4. Remove fan clutch assembly. See Cooling/Engine/DRIVE, Fan - Removal 
  5. Remove coolant fill bottle. See Cooling/Engine/BOTTLE, Pressurized Coolant - Removal 
  6. Remove fan shroud assembly.
  7. Remove A/C compressor, generator brace and generator. Refer to Heating and Air Conditioning/Plumbing/COMPRESSOR, A/C - Removal and Electrical/Charging/GENERATOR - Removal .
  8. Remove idler pulleys.
  9. Remove belt tensioner assembly. See Cooling/Accessory Drive/TENSIONER, Belt - Removal 
  10. Remove upper and lower radiator hoses.
  11. Remove heater hoses (4).
  12. Remove water pump mounting bolts and remove pump (3).
