Diagnostic Test
- DETERMINE ACTIVE OR STORED DTC NOTE: Ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Wait 12 seconds, with the scan tool, read all active ORC DTCs.
Is the DTC active or stored?
ORC - ACTIVE DTC
- Go to step 2
ORC - STORED DTC
- Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/CONTROLLER, Occupant Restraint (ORC) - Standard Procedure .
- CHECK THE TIPM COUNTRY CODE, VEHICLE LINE AND BODY STYLE
- With the scan tool, check for the correct Country Code, Vehicle Line and Body Style.
Does the Vehicle Configuration in the IPM match the Vehicle Configuration in the ORC?
Yes
- Replace the ORC in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the ORC VERIFICATION TEST. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/CONTROLLER, Occupant Restraint (ORC) - Standard Procedure .

- Replace or re-configure the Integrated Control Module (IPM) in accordance with the service information.

- With the scan tool, check for the correct Country Code, Vehicle Line and Body Style.
