Diagnostic Test

  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
    3. Operate the Driver Window Switch in all positions several times.
    4. Wait 30 seconds.
    5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display B1852-DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH STUCK?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH SHORTED

    1. With the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
    2. Disconnect the Driver Window/Door Lock Switch C2 connector.
    3. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display B1852-DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH CIRCUIT STUCK?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  3

      No 

  3. (Q221) MASTER SWITCH LEFT FRONT WINDOW MUX CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
    3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (Q221) Master Switch Left Front Window Mux circuit.

      Is the resistance below 10,000 Ohms?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go to step  4
  4. (Q221) MASTER SWITCH LEFT FRONT WINDOW MUX CIRCUIT SHORT TO (Q994) DRIVER EXPRESS SWITCH RETURN CIRCUIT

    1. Measure the resistance between the (Q221) Master Switch Left Front Window Mux circuit and the (Z421) Driver Express Switch Return circuit.

      Is the resistance below 10,000 Ohms?

      Yes 

      No
