Diagnostic Test

  1. INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on, then off, and then on again.
    2. With the scan tool, read Radio DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display active: B140A-REAR LEFT AUDIO SPEAKER OUTPUT CIRCUIT HIGH?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. CHECK FOR VOLTAGE ON THE (X51) SPEAKER (+) CIRCUIT

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Radio C1 harness connector.
    3. Disconnect the Left Rear Speaker harness connector.
    4. Measure for voltage on the (X51) Speaker (+) circuit.

      Is the voltage above 10.0 volts?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go to step  3
  3. CHECK FOR VOLTAGE ON THE (X57) SPEAKER (-) CIRCUIT

    1. Measure for voltage on the (X57) Speaker (-) circuit.

      Is the voltage above 10.0 volts?

      Yes 

      No
