Fan-Viscous Radiator: Installation: 4.7L

- Assemble fan blade to viscous fan drive. Tighten mounting bolts to 27 N.m (20 ft. lbs.) torque.NOTE: The viscous fan and fan shroud must be installed as an assembly.
- Gently lay viscous fan into fan shroud.
- Install the fan shroud to radiator mounting bolts, torque bolts to (6 N.m or 53 in.lbs).
- Thread the fan and fan drive onto the water pump pulley, and tighten nut using special tool 6958 spanner wrench and 8346 adapters.
- Install accessory drive belt. See INSTALLATION .
CAUTION:
When installing a serpentine accessory drive belt, the belt MUST be routed correctly. If not, the engine may overheat due to the water pump rotating in the wrong direction. See REMOVAL .
for correct belt routing.
