Remove and discard the bushing (1) from the valve body. See Fig 1.

Remove and discard the lip seal (1) from the transaxle case. See Fig 2.

CAUTION: Do not drop the pulley ratio linkage.
Remove the pulley ratio linkage (1) from the valve body. See Fig 3.

Remove the return spring (1) from the valve body. See Fig 4.

Remove the manual valve (1) from the valve body. See Fig 5.
