Crankshaft Position Sensor: Removal: Removal

  1. Remove the battery. Refer to REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the battery tray. Refer to REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the belly pan (4).

  4. Disconnect the air inlet hose (1) from the throttle body.

  5. Remove the upper dipstick tube support bracket bolt (1).

  6. Disconnect the boost pressure sensor harness connector (1).

  7. Remove the bolt (1) from the intercooler outlet tube, the clamp at the intercooler, and remove the intercooler outlet tube.
  8. Remove the lower dipstick tube support bracket bolt, and the wiring harness bracket bolt from the oil cooler assembly.
  9. Position the dipstick tube aside.
  10. Drain the engine coolant.

  11. Disconnect the coolant supply (1) and return (2) lines from the oil cooler assembly.

  12. Disconnect the turbocharger oil supply line (1) from the oil cooler assembly.

  13. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor harness connector (3).

  14. Remove the turbocharger oil supply line support bracket bolt (2).

  15. Remove the 4 bolts from the oil cooler/filter adapter assembly (1).
  16. Remove the oil cooler/filter assembly.

  17. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor harness connector.
  18. Remove the crankshaft position sensor bolt (1).
  19. Remove the crankshaft position sensor (2).
