Gear Shift Cable

Remove the air box (1). See Fig 1.
Disconnect the negative battery cable (2).

Remove shifter cable (2) at transmission bracket (3). See Fig 2.
Remove the nut (4) on the shifter cable to shift lever.

Remove the grommet (1) at the bulkhead.
Remove the shifter. See REMOVAL .

Squeeze clip (2) at cable (1).

Pull cable from bracket (2) at bulkhead (1).
Loosen the hold down bolts at the air bag module. Refer to REMOVAL .

Pull the cable (1, 2) through the bulkhead into the engine compartment.
