Rack & Pinion Power Steering System (Service Information): Pump: Installation: 5.7L

Install pulley on pump if removed. See INSTALLATION .
Install 3 pump mounting bolts (1) and tighten to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
Install the pressure hose on the pump and tighten the nut to 47 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
Reconnect the supply hose (2) at the pump (1).
Install the drive belt. Refer to INSTALLATION .
Install the air intake tube.
Fill the system with power steering fluid.
Bleed the hydraulic fan system using a scan tool. See STANDARD PROCEDURE .
