Evaporative Emissions: Valve-PCV: Description

The 3.7L is equipped with a closed crankcase ventilation system and a Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve.

This system consists of the air cleaner housing and the tubes and hoses used to connect the various system components. A PCV valve (6) is mounted to the oil filler housing. The PCV valve (6) is sealed to the oil filler housing with an O-ring (1). See Fig 1.

Two interconnected breathers (1) are threaded into the rear of each cylinder head. See Fig 2.
