Section 12 (Ignition System (Service Information)): Coil-Ignition: Installation: 5.7L

  1. Using compressed air, blow out any dirt or contaminants from around top of spark plug.
  2. Position ignition coil (3) into valve cover (4) and push onto spark plug. Twist coil into position.
  3. Install 2 coil mounting bolts (2). Tighten to 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.).
  4. Connect electrical connector (1) to coil by snapping into position.
  5. If necessary, install throttle body air tube.
