5.7L

  1. Install the water pump (3) and the mounting bolts (2, 6). Tighten the mounting bolts to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
  2. Install the heater hoses.
  3. Install the lower radiator hose to the water pump.
  4. Install the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing (1).
  5. Install the idler pulley (5) BELTS-ACCESSORY DRIVE .
  6. Install the belt tensioner assembly (4)TENSIONERS-BELT .
  7. Install the cooling fan assembly FAN-RADIATOR .
  8. Install the air intake assembly MANIFOLD - INTAKE .
  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
  10. Evacuate air and refill cooling system STANDARD PROCEDURE  .
  11. Check cooling system for leaks.
