6.1L Engine

1 - LH RESONATOR AND TAILPIPE
2 - MUFFLER
3 - CLAMP
4 - RH RESONATOR AND TAILPIPE
5 - LH RESONATOR AND TAILPIPE
  1. Install resonator and tailpipe assemblies 4 and 5) into muffler (2) and position in vehicle.
  2. Install tailpipe/resonator insulators.
  3. Tighten clamps (3) to 47 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
  4. Make sure the resonator and tailpipe assemblies (4 and 5) are correctly positioned and the properly aligned. The minimum clearance between components is 25 mm (1 inch).
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
